When I, look upon the cross

All I see

Are His loving eyes upon me

From bended knee He lifts me up

Higher than I can perceive

He longs for us

To call on Him and believe

When trouble, finds its way to me

So gently, He teaches me how to be

His promises, they give me strength

To have faith in times of need

Your ways aren't mine

So I'll trust not in what I see

So why do we wait

Jesus, your words are true today

Running from reality

Hearing voices of insecurity

Step away from your thoughts position

To find His voice in the confusion

Ways of the world

Are common to all

We trust in ourselves

Whilst in a free fall

Yet broken we are

In need of His light

Turn to Jesus for He's won the fight

So why do we wait
