Nothing Ever Changes-文本歌词

Nothing ever changes written by Alan.s.Robinson

Nothing ever changes

It’s not an original thought nor an original line

I’d better not use it this time

Perhaps I’d better just write while I’m sober

My thoughts on getting older

On losing my way and feeling sadly out of place

Did I start with too much pace

Going for glory instead of going for stage

Nothing ever changes

Seems kind of funny

To laugh even now at my inabilities

And though I try and see

I never get beyond what I already think I know

Just goes to show

You can’t judge a man by the vision he has

For whatever it was

Has vanished along with the days that were sunny

Seems kind of a laugh

So how will I learn

With this fear of being wrong

Clinging to me now

As it has done all along

How will I learn

To carry on

Nothing ever changes

It’s just the nature of the age

To turn still and silent

And yet never progress beyond violence

To keep us amused

‘till short tempers burn down their fuse

confessing our fears

with anger that brings us closer to tears

So how will I learn

With this fear of being wrong

Clinging to me now

As it has done all along

How will I learn

To carry on
