- 2001 Pori, Finland: the two guitarrists Marko Heurlin and Jani Puusa form a band called Serene. Drummer Timo Fetula, vocalist Maija Saari and basist Sami Suomilammi join forces. 
 
- 2003 Lassi Nuolivaara joins the band as a keyboard player. Sami Suomilammi quits the band. Jussi Lamminharju joins the band as a new member. 
 
- 2004 the line-up changes effect the bands sound, making it more heavier and melodies have a major role. 
 
- 2005 Serene releases an EP called ”Slowly Fading, including tracks “Collector”, “A Priori”, “Ammo” and the music video from the track “Collector”. 
 
- 2006 Maija Saari and Serene go separate ways. The band starts to write new material and begins to search a new vocalist. 
 
- 2007 Jemina Pitkl joins the band. Serene changes it’s name to Memoira and begins to work on their new self-titled album. 
 
- 2008 Memoira signs with Nightmare Records and the self-titled album is released in US. They shoot a music video of the single track ”Liberation”. The video finishes second at VoiceTV’s Garage Countdown competition. 
 
- 2009 The self-titled album is released throughout Europe 
 
- 2010 Jemina Pitkl and Memoira go separate ways. Memoira releases a press release for the search of new vocalist. They receive applications from all over the world. Kati Rantala ends up as a new vocalist. The band starts to write new material and work on their new album
