Matteo Becucci is an Italian pop/rock singer who rose to fame on the television reality show X Factor in 2008 before embarking on a hit solo career the following year. Born on August 4, 1970, in Livorno, Italy, he was the first-place winner of the second season of X Factor, defeating second-place runner-up the Bastard Sons of Dioniso on the season finale in April 2009. Around the same time he won the season finale, Becucci scored a series of hit singles, among them "The Power of Love," "Un Nuovo Amico," and "Impossibile." The biggest of these hits, "Impossibile," is the title track of an accompanying six-track EP which, like the single, was a Top Five hit on the Italian charts.
