Mal Blum is an American songwriter and performer from New York. Blum tours constantly and is currently on tour promoting "Every Time You Go Somewhere." She is sometimes joined by Simon LittleJohn on banjo and harmonica. In addition to headlining performances, Mal has supported Melissa Ferrick, Bitch (performer), Amanda Palmer, Jeffrey Lewis, Kimya Dawson, Hamell on Trial and other national artists. Mal Blum is a SUNY Purchase Alumnus. Blum's music has been featured on MTV LOGO's The Click List, where her first music video was voted a "Top Ten of 2009" and NewNowNext Music, where her second music video premiered in 2011 It also appeared in a national ad campaign for the clothing company Free People featuring Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen in 2012.
