HMS, it is one mouth, one voice & one guitar. Dave Crowe ( beat-box) and Andy Balcon ( voice guitar). These 2 young guys, hailing from England, met in New Zealand 3 years ago during their non stop personal world touring as street performers.
À la pointe de leur époque, férus du dubstep de Skrillex, du blues originel et d'une forme de Rock décharné que ne renieraient pas The Kills, c'est sans rien changer à leur formation actuelle qu'ils auraient pu se produire à même le champs de coton du Delta cajun, berceau du blues, sans electricité. Cette recherche de la quintessence du blues, tout en le projetant comme jamais vers 2015, a ceci d'hypnotique que toute personne ayant eu la chance d'assister à un de leur concert a la sensation toute simple de " jamais ne jamais avoir vu quelque chose de tel auparavant".
Crowe pratique ici un beat-box des plus spectaculaires, une vidéo d'un de ses solos dans la rue londonienne a atteint 7 millions de vues sur Youtube. Sa bouche est un instrument. Andy Balcon, sa voix habitée souvent au bord de la rupture, cette irrépressible envie d'aller invoquer les esprits des esclaves, les affranchir par la force.

Certains pourraient dire que le beatbox est un artifice vu et revu, Dave Crowe, l’homme dont la bouche est un instrument, ne l’entend pas de cette oreille. Après avoir poussé sa technique jusqu’aux limites de l’humain, il a choisi d’utiliser ses talents dans une forme artistique structurée. Cette transition a été possible grâce à sa rencontre avec Andy Balcon en Nouvelle Zélande en 2009. Andy, guitariste blues à la musicalité sans concession, a souvent la voix au bord de la rupture, mise à nu. Depuis leur rencontre, ils n’ont cessé de poursuivre leur quête de réinvention musicale et de découvertes. Ils on commencé dans les rues de Nelson (New Zealand). Ils ont quitté leur route quotidienne de travellers d’auberge de jeunesse en vignobles pour rejoindre la côte (Christchurch) et son circuit de bars-concerts, ou leur son a pris forme.
Après une pause ou chacun s’est consacré à son projet solo, la paire s’est retrouvée pour continuer l’aventure. Leur son se résume au choc entre des éléments urbains et l’esprit séminal du blues du Delta mélangées aux racines du Rock n’ Roll. Heymoonshaker est entré de plain-pied dans le 21ème siècle.
Depuis Février 2012, ils ont eu depuis l’occasion de se produire en suède, Australie, Suisses, Nouvelle Zélande, Allemagne, France et Italie.
Même s’ils sont dorénavant basés en France, leur maison mère, l’Angleterre les a vu cet été sur les scènes de Beach Break Live, Greenman Festival, Shambala, Wilderness and Kendal Calling.

Some people may argue that Beatboxing is nothing more than a gimmick or a simple party trick, Dave Crowe one half of Heymoonshaker, a master of this trade, would disagree. After honing his talent and pushing his skills to the point of human implausibility, he opted to take these skills and turn them into an art form. This transition was made possible when Crowe met Andy Balcon, in New Zealand, 2009; a blues guitarists with uncompromising musicianship and a voice that howls like a wolf. Since their meeting they successfully embarked on a pursuit of musical reinvention and discovery. Premiering on the streets of Nelson (New Zealand), they broke free from the everyday backpacker trail of vineyards and youth hostels, and instead took there talents to the East Coast bar circuit which led them to Christchurch where the sound was shaped. After a break to focus on solo projects, the pair reunited in order to continue what they had started. Their sound is now true fusion, harmonizing urban sounds and deep bass with a roots mentality and blues, rock and roll rhythms. Heymoonshaker are far from being a party trick and have their feet firmly in the 21st century.
Believers in an alternative life style of constant travel, Crowe and Balcon have been taking their unique stage show around the world since February 2012, from Sweden to Australia, Switzerland to New Zeland, Germany to France and Italy. Recording their debut album (self titled) at Wetlab studio's with music maestro Viktor Benzen - Shaker captured the frame for what has grown into an unexplainable musical spirit.
Their presents in the UK continues to grow too, in terms of live status and online reach, with a summer tour visiting Beach Break Live, Greenman Festival, Shambala, Wilderness and Kendal Calling; and seeing a constant growth of views for their Youtube hit ‘Cream F Feeling’.
