Trumpet first prize in 1981 at the Paris National Conservatory, ANTOINE ILLOUZ went the year after to the Berklee College of Music to complete his education with "non classical music". Back in Paris, he then joined successively several groups in various styles (Eddy Louiss, Orchestre National de Jazz with Antoine Hervé , Laurent Cugny, Martial Solal, Salif Keita, Manu Dibango, « Nulle Part Ailleurs » TV show, Orchestre National de Barbès) while running in performance and for 5 albums as a leader, his own group. With this group, he also did several international tours (Middle-East, China, Indonesia, Eastern Africa, Latin America).
Composer and arranger for his group, he also experienced film scoring and, recently, composed for the «XXIème Ciel, Mode in Japan» exhibition, and for the Radio France program «Alla Breve».
His musical approach includes subtle references to his classical background, as well as to his early interest for jazz, enriched by the experience he acquired through contact with musicians of various origins.
