Virgo Intacta is an electronica / IDM group formed in Izhevsk, Russian Federation in 1994, originally consisting of four members: Andrey Saltykov, Aleksey Maksimov, Sergey Sadykov and Vadim Shirobokov. 
In the beginning the musical direction for the band was intended to be ethno-ambient, though it has evolved considerably throughout the years. 
The first public appearance for VI was the sound design for Sergey Shumikhin’s “Preservative” exhibit.
