L.i.E. is a metal band from the land of Augusta, Georgia that is a little more than just a metal band. Comprised of 6 to 9 members, including a bassist, keyboardist, violinist, cellist, and as many as 3 guitarists, L.i.E. is influenced by everything from 60's psychedelia, 70's prog rock, 80's metal, 90's alternative, to turn of the century contemporary music in addition to classical and bluegrass. Dubbed "fearless" by one local independent critic and "not content to merely toss out comfortable music for the modern rock crowd" by another, L.i.E. seeks to create memorable pieces of music that balance the extreme with the mainstream and add a touch of the symphonic, progressive, and occasionally downright ludicrous.
