Hi thereMe: Petter Carlsen. I make songs. From Alta (city of the northern light(!), Finnmark in Northern Norway. Late august 2009 I released my debut album “You Go Bird”.My music is atmospheric and melodic. I guess you can hear that it’s dark almost every hour, day and night, throughout the winter (and its long) where I come from.I worked for a while as a sound technician in Oslo. More and more I became aware of that something was missing. For a while I thought I was homesick. That became the explanation of my discomfort. Eventually I discovered the reason. I had for too long ignored my need to do what I love the most; making, - and playing music. I teamed up with producer and technician Christer André Cederberg. We immortalized my songs in his studio.In 2006 I moved back to my hometown to give my sounds an honest try. With priceless help from friends, family and local traders I released an EP called “A taste of what’s to come”. Since then I have lived in a suitcase playing concerts both with- and without my band in Norway mostly, but also in England, Germany, Finland and Russia.I guess the best version of me on this planet, is the one who’s playing and composing music. My greatest joy. Glue.These days I'm finishing my second album. 11 new tracks. I'm veeery satisfied. Release date not set yet....Thanks for visiting.
