Krahl sat 1968 a prison sentence for a protest demonstration and a leaflet campaign against the invasion of the Warsaw Pact countries in the CSSR from . His father Franz Krahl was replaced as head of the new Germany and added to the archive. For this show of solidarity was honored with the Karel Kramar Medal Toni Krahl 2008 by the Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek .
