Feeling most at home in the intricate soulful acoustic, indie folk melodies he writes, Chris Smartt is an innovative singer songwriter and musician. Chris musical influences are grounded in folk, soul, jazz, blues, and electronica, giving him a unique approach to songwriting and performing. Chris is a highly skilled and motivated multi-instrumentalist, teaching himself piano, synthesizers, guitar, saxophone, harmonica, and ukulele throughout his teen years.
Chris took a keen interest in songwriting during his 6 years living in culturally diverse Toronto, Canada and has been writing and recording his own original songs since. He uses his great control of the lyric and intricate melodies to communicate the heart of his songs in such a unique and meaningful way. 
Chris utilizes a loop pedal during his live performances, creating a dynamic wave of interwoven vocal and instrumental harmonies. Whether playing to a crowd, or thirty people in a backyard, Chris easy going and fun personality is infectious. Audiences have lots of smiles and laughs throughout his engaging live shows. Chris is currently producing his debut E.P. aiming for a Mid 2013 release.
