The Backjumper project started in January 2003 with the original line up, but finds stability only in 2006 with the final line-up that gives life, in July, to the EP "Trust No1".
The live performances from the beginning has been vital and never stopped; through an extensive promotion to "Trust No1" they came in touch with the Rome based label Killer Pool Records.
In April 2008 Backjumper recorded their first album, "Across The Deadline" at the Subsound Studios in Rome with Victor Love (Dope Stars Inc.).
Mastered by John Golden @ Goldenmastering Studios (Converge, Faith No More, Neurosis, Primus), in Ventura, California, USA the album was released in May 2009.
The band promoted their debut album throughout Italy, getting good responses both from magazines/webzines and during live shows.
The writing of new tracks is completed in the late summer 2010 and in November the band entered the studio at the Golem Dungeon Studios (Natron, Golem, Deadlystrain, No Blame) under the supervision of Giuseppe Dentamaro for the recording sessions of the second album "White, Black And The Lies Between" that came out in Apri 2011 on Southern Brigade Records.
A viral live promotion saw the band play all over Europe supporting bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sick of it All, Municipal Waste, Unearth and Cancer Bats.
Backjumper had the chance to play an incredible set at Wacken Open Air 2013 in Germany (on the same billing with Rammstein, Deep Purple, Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Motorhead, Devildriver, Lamb of God, Whitechapel, Agnostic Front, Trivium, Soilwork) on the W.E.T. Stage in front of thousands of people.
Their second album establish them without doubt as one of the most hardworking bands into italian hardcore/metal scene.
