Canadian composer Simon Carpentier can be heard on several Cirque du Soleil productions and different channels. Whether he composes for shows, albums, movies, television series, theatre or events, de always enriches a production with his creativity and style. He has won numerous awards and citations of excellence in recognition of the quality of his work.

He took his first piano lessons at the age of seven and began his professional career in Quebec City, where his personal recording studio was next door to a rehearsal studio used by musicians working in all genres. 
Simon first made his mark writing music for commercials and picked up more than 20 Quebec and international awards. He received a “Mobius Award” handed out in Chicago for the music used in cinema advertising.

His name appears in the credits of numerous films and TV shows for a variety of networks, including TV5, Fox, CBC. He composed the score for the 72-episode teen drama series “Big Wolf On Campus” which is broadcasted in 150 countries. 
His music was a major factor in the success of Italian quick-change genius “Arturo Brachetti’s One-Man Show” at the Garrick Theatre in London, Theatre Mogador in Paris, Poland, Italy, and Spain.
The rhythmic and emotional strength in his music is especially noticeable during the poetic mission of Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, aboard the International Space Station, diffused in 14 cities simultaneously around the world next to Peter Gabriel, Shakira, U2, Julie Payette, Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore,… 
Simon Carpentier scored music for Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas (Zumanity), at the New York Beacon Theatre on Broadway and the Madison Square Garden (Wintuk). His latest music creation is LUZIA.
