Imminent Descent is a melodic death metal band from San Antonio, TX that formed in early 2006. They came together with one goal - to keep real metal alive in San Antonio. With many years of musical experience combined between the group, they are maintaining the elements of TRUE metal - evil riffs, dual guitar solos, and aggressive vocals. Their influences can be heard embedded within the music. 
After going on hiatus in 2008, Imminent Descent re-emerged on the scene in January 2010 with a new line up that consisted of original member Michael Arreaga on guitar, Daniel Simpson on drums, Austin Zettner on guitar, Eddie Lubin on vocals, and Mark Ramos on bass.
In December of 2011, the band released their self-titled, debut album. In the summer of 2012, Jordan Roberts, replaced Eddie as the band's frontman.
In 2013, the band once again emerged into the San Antonio metal scene with a new look. Michael and Mark continued the traditional lineup, while Chad Dillon stepped in to replace Austin Zettner on guitar and Matt Watson arose to take over the role of the band's drummer. With the new lineup, the band is taking on a more progressive and melodic approach to metal. In the summer of 2014, Estefan Ortega stepped into the role of the band's frontman. The band is currently working on their second full-length album.
