Known for being signed to Mark Radford’s label, house and tech producer Oliver Rees puts out his new EP entitled ‘Eyes’ with London dance label MFR Records. The Eyes EP starts with the electronic feast that is ‘Eyes’. This vintage and colourful sounding house track combines an inescapable bassline mixed with some syrupy keys perfect for the summer and just what our European festivals ordered. The beautifully chopped up vocals provide some ethnic diversity whilst the lyrics themselves add passion to the track. This feel good track is a reliable source of suspense with its drops and crescendos and is guaranteed to have ravers singing along this summer. The second track Dance Experience delivers a devilishly addictive and hypnotising rhythm. With the drum structure being drum heavy but bass driven, this track is screeching to be played in the clubs and is just the second instalment of the 18 minute long EP. The EP leads us into Firebird. With its purgatory sounding synths, its instantly recognisable and addictive claps and its pristine drums; Oliver Rees is giving DJs material to make the dance floor go crazy when they are in need. This overall synth pop sound has Oliver Rees down to a T with his previous other productions having the same house, bass and techno sound to them. This one is no different but just as good and will have you into a full-on-electro-house mode.
