Kern Koppen is a creative hip hop collective based in The Hague. In 2014, the group released a vinyl tetralogy “De vier seizoenen van Kern Koppen (The Four Seasons of Kernkoppen). Tom Giles, the lead singer of the band and Maarten (Offshore) have known each other for some time as fellow colleagues from the Hague pop venue Paard Van Troje, Tom is a sound engineer and Maarten is the light guy. When Coen and Maarten heard the first new material from the band Kern Koppen, they were very impressed and instantly fell in love with the song Vers uit de schaduw (Fresh from the Shadow) This has all led to this for us a very cool remix project Kern Koppen- Remixes by Offshore & Coen.
