Where some parts on Boogie were very riff-based, we looked more to the whole songs this time, wanting the whole song to be a punch in the face, not just that one riff.- Do you agree that your song writing has matured and become more serious?In one way, yes. And after 10 years together we all know each other music-wise, and I think we’ve come together more as ONE strong writing unit.- What do you see as 2Ton Predator¹s musical strengths?Song writing. And the fact that we all know how to play our instruments.THE DEVIL KILLS THE ANGEL2Ton Predator” is the Swedes’ third album. Do they see it as being especially crucial to their career?Nope, says Matte categorically.The only thing we can do is write good songs and have fun. If we ever get a career from it, fine. But I think this album can reach some more people, simply because it's the best album we've done so far.- There are some tough song titles on DEMON DEALER.- Who is the Demon Dealer?“The Demon Dealer is a pusher. It’s a short story from a short period of a guy’s life where everything turned into making fast money. Blinded by the greed he couldn’t see where he was headed and he almost ended up behind bars. But he made it very luckily.”- What is the concept behind “Transparent Venom Addiction”?“ “Transparent Venom Addiction” is something about how “better” people judge your lifestyle without reflecting on their own. If you like something, go for it. If you like to get drunk every weekend, do it. If you like to get drunk every day, do it. But know why you do it, and don’t hurt other people down the road. One man may look down at the guy passed out in the street,but then later that night he passes out in front of the TV himself, after beating up his wife.”- Tell us a little about the song “A Funeral Romance”.“It has something to do with how fragile the human mind is. You can always blame stuff on the state of your sanity, and you can manipulate yourself to think this way or that way. It’s kinda like this: an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other, one of them has to win each battle, and in some cases the devil did kill the angel at birth.”
