Pinku Vääty's Swedenshire is a melodic and deep tribute to the deep forests of Scandinavia, with sounds of crackling forests and vinyl records intertwine with each other. Popkonto is a decidedly more clean-cut dancefloor number; a relative to Milton Jackson's Cycles but going in a direction where the electronica gets a bigger say within the house music. The release also features a remix by brilliant producer Tora Vinter. Hanging out with Andrea and Flying Locus, her debut 12 recieved much acclaim for being truly original; something close to impossible in the electronic music scene. Having since remixed Fever Ray and Tjajkovskij (!) she now delivers a deep-diving take on Swedenshire, where some sounds seem to have been plunged into the abyss whilst acidy basslines remain forefront.
