With „silver tongue“ UK’s Light Bearer release the long awaited follower of the bands first full-length entitled “lapsus”. The new album marks the second act of altogether four acts that tell a metaphorical story about the dawn of enlightenment, based upon a number of interpretations of the Judaeo Christian version of the casting out of Lucifer and the fall of man from the book of genesis. The story is an intrinsic part of the mythological narrative of humanity, the subjective concept of good and evil. Further inspiration was taken from Philip Pullman’s “his dark materials”, “paradise lost” by John Milton and “the divine comedy” by Dante Alighieri. After their split-release with Northless these guys managed carry the roughness and grim over in the songwriting of “silver tongue”. The range of installed instruments was once again expanded. Beside the main instruments sounds of a trumpet, piano, cello were added by guest musicians to create a matchless atmosphere between uplifting stages, bitter cold parts and melancholic passages. A brilliant mix of Post-Hardcore and progressive Metal. Definite a piece of music you should take time for. With six songs and an entire length of nearly 80 minutes “silver tongue” takes the listener on a journey of initially unexpected draught. In so doing instruments and vocals reach each others hands to build a story told by many voices in different moods of heartfelt music. A masterpiece of music, created by diy-rooted musicians, to release their passion and dedication to a world full of fear and doubts.
