Up:Start Music are back once again with 2 fresh cuts of break beat from label head honcho & 2009 Breakspoll ‘Breakthrough DJ’ nominee D-Funk. The title track ‘Party People’ is a instantly catchy party breaks number with a killer synth riff straight out the Plump Djs book. Its solid beats are layered under old skool style percussion that drive the track with some serious bottom end welly. With a bass line wouldn’t be out of sorts in an Orbital record from the early 90’s this hands in the air track is D-Funk’s best work yet… The second track of this double A side is ‘Up In My Head’. Which is another rip-roaring breaks number that heads straight for the jugular with aggressive beats & large bass. Cleverly programmed percussion drive this track along, with the heavy bass line having an organ feel to it. ‘Who’s up in my head’ is the vox that works it’s way in & out leading to a large bass mid section with a switch up of beats. This track is a bit of a different direction from d*Funk as he tests his sound & pushes into new territories… Up:Start Music 003 is released in late June.
