About The Artist Multi-instrumentalist, dj & producer Simbad (aka P.L.Stanislas Renouf) lives in London since 1996 (set up Key Recordings & Je Ne Sais Quoi Rec. with Fred McQuinn) & makes good music. His incredible range as a producer spans from big band jazz to heavy Jamaican dancehall reggae, bouncy hip-hop to sick broken-beat & techno. He has worked & played with the likes of Tony Allen, Marque, Gilmore, Keziah Jones, Gonzales, Mocky, Julien Lourau, Luther Allison,Talvin Singh, Bugz in the Attic, Jimpster, Smadj etc...to name a few and is part of 2 live bands: Ntoumos (Bel\u002FUk\u002FFr) & Noble Society (Nyc\u002FUsa) & the Loindubal collective (Fr\u002FCh). Releasing music as Simbad (his other projects & aka's being Heal, Twitch, Beatkeepers, Dreadpoet, Loose Ensemble, Marathon Men, Mowgly & Les Barons), he travels internationally as an accomplished dj (was part of the legendary Anokha Sound System), spinning his blend of Funk, Hip-Hop, Deep House, Broken Beats, Disco, Drum & Bass...As this man puts it himself, it's just quality booty music...I love to spread the vibes & feel the crowd...And a good dancefloor needs always ladies, right?... Simbad has currently finished an album for Chilli Funk (under Marathon Men with F.McQuinn) to be released in September 2005, while finishing new material for different labels (working with various rappers,poets & singers) & runs his monthly night in east London called Je Ne Sais Quoi.
