Dirty Fusion by Ty Tek is my third favorite track ever to come out on Gourmet. Its so direct and powerful. The tracks eerie pads and main synth lead are permanently burned into my mind. Ive heard them many times in my dreams. They remind me specifically of two older Prescription tracks; Morning Factory and the B1 track (which was untitled) on the Foot Therapy EP. Its this mesh of spiritual futurism and directly executed tech-house that has endeared this simple piece of music to me. Well, if youre listening to the version on offer here you can tell Ive done a remix which really is more like a facelift than a new production. I just couldnt live with harming any of the original elements; they were perfect the first time around. The beats have been redone and the arrangement flipped around a bit. Ive worked in some subtle new tricks and tried to flesh out some of the musical parts, letting them ride by themselves rather than layering things on and on.
