With his new album We are giants Sergej Auto avoids traditions of club music and creates his own definition of modern city sounds. Less lunatic then his last releases, but clear and groovy, his tracks bounce back and forth between euphoria and cold tristesse and they stand out through minimalistic and well placed crankiness. He has always been an inhabitant of more than one world. Boldly Auto picks out elements of his funk heroes, is inspired by electro and soundtracks without being bothered by genre typical characteristics. The sound scenario this album creates is partly familiar but seemingly catapulted into the near future. The result is a sound- and powerful poetryalbum filled with illuminated city scenes and rambling pictures of space and time.
