Modern vintage soul singer\u002Fsongwriter\u002Fguitarist Zachary Ross just released his 3nd solo record, Take Me. This latest effort features cinematic, creative performances and features a fine new group of musicians. This is Zachary's second record produced by Jon Evans of Tori Amos fame. Zachary and Jon moved past the traditional soul framework of Zachary's early works to create a new sound full of depth and vibrancy. Zachary released, For the Love I'm Forgetting backed by a full band, complete with brass and Hammond B3. The group's sound, usually part horn-section funk \u002F part Quiet Storm ballad calls to mind some of the old-school soul artists of the 60's but Ross' lilting, smoke & honey voice and his non-standard approach to songwriting give things a twist that keeps his music fresh and classic all at the same time.
