Written, recorded and produced by Shoreline Is in DortmundOne of the album’s best songs and also the first one I ever heard of Shoreline Is definitely is Living Things: Combining all the distinctive features of the band’s sound I named above, you should definitely insist that your favourite DJ plays this during your next indie night, even if it means you have to press the CD against his face. [...] To make it short, with Deal Kindly Shoreline Is released a real pearl of their genre. (thecircumflex.tumblr.com)these guys play some real awesome, if not breathtaking, electronic driven dreampop with various influences from new wave to synthpop, shoegaze to post-punk and back. [...] deal kindly is one of the best debuts from a german band in ages (edenisneon.blogspot.de)‘Parts per Million’ is the best thing to come out of Dortmund since the ’97 Borussia Dortmund Champions League winning team. Shoreline Is are certainly a band to watch. (thefourohfive.com)A band that I recently discovered via Bandcamp deals in my recent fascination with dreamwave, chill-pop in the fashion of Wild Nothing, Washed Out, etc. Shoreline Is, from Dortmund, Germany, produce the same kind of hand-clap-ready music as the aforementioned bands, while maintaing more of a shoe-gaze quality, and holding a uniquely alt-rock sound not unlike Bloc Party or something close to the riff-laden hooks that manage to separate these guys from the typical (audiofanaticsociety.wordpress.com) Germany's Shoreline Is manages to strike the perfect balance between dreamy shoegaze and energetic indie rock. After a first listen to ‘Parts Per Million’ we very happily dug a bit deeper into the sound cloud archives and you know what, every other track they’ve done is also a gem too. (yourmusicradar.com)The band has honed in on a certain jangled sound that sounds equal parts melancholy and bright, and they do it with particular aplomb. (tympanogram.com)It is quite a catch, more electrogaze than its purer early nineties incarnation but that’s what makes it so enjoyable. A rub of history and an earful of the future. Factory records, don’t you just love them. (mp3hugger.com)Here’s a new track from German based band Shoreline Is that’s sure to pop up on my summertime playlist as I drive off into the sunset. (austintownhall.com)Sounding a bit like Craft Spells or Twin Sister, the trio makes glowing pop vibes that will bring summer just a step closer, no matter how far away it may be. (escucharemos.com)Best submission I’ve seen in some time. We’ll have to keep an eye out as they pump out more excellent material. (festofbeast.tumblr.com)
