The Foxglove Hunt is a neo-synth-pop duo consisting of Ronnie Martin and Rob Withem. Martin first collaborated with his brother Jason Martin as Dance House Children, then began releasing albums under the name Joy Electric. In 2000, he produced When the World Sings, the debut album by Withem's band Fine China. When Fine China broke up in 2006, Withem and Martin began working together, from a distance. Withem wrote songs and made demos of them that he sent to Martin at his home studio in Riverside, CA. Martin then programmed synthesizer arrangements. Later, the two met at Flying Blanket Recording in Mesa, AZ, for formal recording sessions to dub Withem's vocals and guitar onto the tracks. The result was the Foxglove Hunt's debut album, Stop Heartbeat, released by Common Wall Media LLC on March 25, 2008.We've just put together an EP entitled Built My Fortress that will be released just before Christmas. This release will contain one never released track, We're getting things moving again toward a full length for the first part of next year, and thought this would be a nice way to get us going in that direction. We continue to stay focused on writing pristinely crafted pop songs, using the latest technology available from 1983. On our new tracks, there has also been almost an even 50\u002F50 collaboration between Ronnie and I, which has been different and exciting. At least for us.
