As with the special effects driven film, the score is also technologically enhanced: Recorded with DSD (Direct Stream Digital) encoding, which samples the music signal 2.8 million times per second, resulting in a crisp, dynamically rich sound. All the better to hear Goldsmith's creative arrangements and kinetic, riveting melodies on this score.
