比利时的“申奥片”《本X》（Ben X）是导演Nic Balthazar的处女作，影片采用比利时官方语言之一的“佛兰芒语”（Flemish-language）拍摄，曾在今年31届蒙特利尔电影节上夺得了评审团和观众的最高奖。故事主角是一个有点自闭的少年本（Greg Timmermans扮演），他在学校里沉默寡言，但在自己最喜爱的在线游戏《霸王》（Archlord）里则是一个勇士。　　随着学校里2个欺负他的人愈发的变本加厉，现实中和游戏里“本”的界限逐渐模糊……Nic Balthazar原本为比利时一位电影评论家、电视台文化节目主持人。在影片拍摄前，他曾把这个故事写成过小说和戏剧。影片将于9月26日在比利时国内公映。BEN X is the filmdebuut of Nic Balthazar.
