Just some thoughts regarding this release:I was listening again to the newly completed CD yesterday, 'Diminished'. I have of course listened to the tracks many times, but took a break and then listened again. I still think it is quite a special release, what stood out to me was the uniqueness of each track. While working on these songs, they were not done all around one time, or even with a common goal in mind. That could be a good thing or a bad thing, bad in that they style can vary from song to song to where someone may like one track but not the others. It could be a good thing in that the it doesn't get boring or repetitive, each song goes somewhere different to mix it all up. The final direction or outcome was not known to me while writing these songs, it developed along with them. I have mentioned before it began as a project that was to remain in the style of 'depressive black metal', but that really only became the first step of what eventually was the outcome.
