As the aging Deep Purple machine continues to chug away, fans are thrust this leaky live-preserver. Do we really need to hear this once-proud lineup again going through the tired motions of Highway Star, Speed King, and Child In Time? To be fair, the group turns heads with what appears, at first, to be a rejuvenating revision of Smoke On The Water. Blackmore launches into a mean, dirty riff, but the whole mess degenerates into a 10-minute jam complete with audience call and response.
