While the Harthouse label posts a warning of trance silliness (especially a release dated this late), this is actually a jackin' acid affair. Tracks like Deprograming and Virgin Mind trade on the dark Euro-rave tricks of wicked sound effects and wet acid synths that sounded fresh once. Virus does the same, but with a funky breakbeat, while DD 66 makes the most of the mandatory listening techno excursion. This CD is an unexpected moment that is thoroughly caught in early-'90s techno. It is not bad by those standards, but is probably something thatLekebusch's current work would prefer that you forget.
