The Smoakstack Sessions Vol. 2 is the third extended play (EP) by American recording artist Kelly Clarkson. It will be released through RCA Records as a companion record with her first greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: Chapter One, on November 19, 2012. Similar her debut EP, The Smoakstack Sessions, The Smoakstack Sessions Vol. 2 was recorded at the The Smoakstack recording studios in Nashville, Tennessee.The EP consists of six cover versions: I Never Loved a Man by Aretha Franklin (which Clarkson recorded with Questlove), Your Cheating Heart by Hank Williams, Walking After Midnight by Patsy Cline, a mash-up of That I Would Be Good by Alanis Morissette with Use Somebody by Kings of Leon, and Lies by The Black Keys — all of which she had previously performed in her All I Ever Wanted Tour in 2009.
