Okkervil River's 7th album, The Silver Gymnasium takes place in 1986 in a small town in New Hampshire where Will Sheff grew up. This is a special album for the band as it is Will's first autobiographical record. The album was produced by John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr., John Mellencamp, Cyndi Lauper).Will Sheff launched his Lovestreams solo project just a few months back, but hes already shifted his attention back to his main project, Okkervil River, for the follow-up to 2011s I Am Very Far. Not much information has been confirmed as of yet, but lead single It Was My Season is a bouncy piano rock cut, and theres even a North American tour heading our way.
